Leadership Forum
In this wide scaled event, leaders from all ministries gathered in host churches worldwide to learn the fine points of Christian leadership from experienced ministry leaders. Biblical truths were expounded in the context of real-life situations that Christian leaders are often faced with. It is often difficult to relate biblical truths into everyday situations, but through this forum, leaders were able to gain the skills to perform this task. Through everyday situations, people can actually more able understand what the Gospel means in their lives, and how to live out their faith. The bible is not simply an interesting book with intellectual ideals. It is something that must be transferred into daily actions, and through that, people can gain true fulfillment.
This year, working in conjunction with the educational committee of the EAPC, many new materials were provided to forum attendees. These materials brought to light many important concepts that can be applied to the congregations as leaders return to their churches. Because this event is meant to educate all churches on a worldwide scale, these materials were translated into a variety of languages to be distributed to all EAPC-member churches. In addition, all the educational information was put into cultural context. The EAPC understands that diverse cultures see things slightly differently, so many of the examples have been changed to fit the culture’s understanding. Yet, the main principles of living remain the same; it is wonderful how the world can maintain this unity within diversity.
Overall leadership forum organizer, John Uybrim, hopes that the encouragement and excitement instilled by the event will strengthen missions, as leaders of ministries prepare for a new season of church programs. As the EAPC tries to uphold the Great Commission to baptize all the nations with the Holy Spirit, they desire to sincerely reach all peoples. This requires diligence, passion, and openness to all ways of living. In this way, the EAPC can do its part in fulfilling God’s vision.
